Malayalee Association (BMA)

The Basildon Malayalee Association (BMA), established in 2005, is one of the oldest and largest Malayalee associations in the United Kingdom. It is a registered, non-profit, socio – cultural organization in the Essex County in the United Kingdom, and has almost 250 registered members now.

We cannot forget the heritage of that goodness in our busy life here. This society should be a platform for the return of the legacy and goodness of our country to our growing youth and to each of us. Together we can recover the richness of Malayalam language and the heritage of Kerala, arts, games, and more.

Kerala - A Tapestry of Traditions, Woven with Diversity.

Kerala is one of the ‘Ten Paradise in the world’ found out by the National Geographic Traveller. Land with diverse geography and overwhelming greenery. Perhaps there is no other places in this world as green as Kerala. Kerala is the south most state in the Indian peninsula gifted with many natural boundaries. It is an educational advanced state with a literacy rate of 100% and the most advanced society in India with the highest physical quality of life and social index.

Kerala as the name suggest is the land of Kera (coconut tress), she is popular for her aromatic spices which attracted the Portuguese, Dutch and English men towards her which in turn added to her cultural and social heritage. Kerala is so popular for her cultural heritage refined over decades and decades by various luminaries
