Inviting nominations for BMA Executive Committee (2026–2028).
- Nomination opens: 12/01/2026
- Last date for nomination submission: 17/01/2026 (midnight)
- Nomination withdrawal period: 18/01/2026 – 21/01/2026
- Election & General Body Meeting: 24/01/2026
✅ Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a registered member with membership fee paid
- Must have attended at least one BMA event
- Must have a minimum 40% attendance at BMA events
- Members who have served two consecutive terms on the committee are not eligible to stand for a third consecutive term
Election Process
- If more than one nomination is received for a position, an election will be conducted
- If any position remains unfilled, it will be filled on the election day (24/01/2026️)
- A maximum of 19 members will be elected to the committee

- Nomination forms can be collected from Benoy Augustine (Election Presiding Officer)

- Completed nomination forms must be submitted by email on or before 17/01/2026 (midnight)

Malayalee Association (BMA)

The Basildon Malayalee Association (BMA), established in 2005, is one of the oldest and largest Malayalee associations in the United Kingdom. It is a registered, non-profit, socio – cultural organization in the Essex County in the United Kingdom, and has almost 250 registered members now.

We cannot forget the heritage of that goodness in our busy life here. This society should be a platform for the return of the legacy and goodness of our country to our growing youth and to each of us. Together we can recover the richness of Malayalam language and the heritage of Kerala, arts, games, and more.
